Position Summary :

The Marching Band Assistant (Visual) will be responsible for overseeing, training and directing the visual program of the marching band.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be completely knowledgeable of the marching band activity and visual techniques. Communicates effectively with marching band members. Attend band parents' meetings. Attend rehearsals, performances, competitions, and other activities of the marching band. Oversee and instruct the visual program of the marching band. Work with the Marching Band Director and other staff to plan and execute effective rehearsals. Select, manage, and evaluate volunteer visual staff in conjunction with the Marching Band Director. Advise director of ensemble equipment and ordering needs. Account for school property. Prepare an end-of-season summary with recommendations for program maintenance or improvement. Submit report to director.
