Worship Director Job Description
GENERATIONS CHURCH PURPOSE
To lead people to experience God, find family, live free, fulfill purpose and leave a legacy.
MINISTRY PURPOSE
To cultivate authentic and creative worship experiences where people can encounter God and want to return.
POSITION STATUS
X Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE
Part Time | 15+ Hours/Week
REPORTS TO
Lead Pastor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates the vision and direction of worship to volunteers and leaders in alignment with Generations' vision Direct and lead weekly worship services, sound checks, and rehearsals Oversee scheduling, service planning and weekly programming meetings Care and pastor the worship team members and families. Oversee the onboarding process for the worship team; auditions, interviews, and training nights Oversee and develop leaders for the worship team. Communicate details related to services and events for the church. Supports church events as needed. Have a working knowledge of music theory. Ability to create charts, edit MP3s and tutorials as needed. Have an understanding and willingness to learn Ableton software. Have an understanding of band instrumentation and vocal harmony. Be able to lead, with detail and clarity, band and vocal rehearsals. In the

PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Performance will be measured based on four criteria: Effectiveness in cultivating excellence in worship experiences and services. Creates an environment where volunteers are recruited, well trained, developed, cared for, and able to use their gifts and talents to serve effectively. Ability to work with other leaders to ensure weekly services are of the highest quality. Effectiveness of systems developed to produce the highest possible quality for all worship experiences.
