REQUIREMENTS

Education Level:

High School diploma.

Experience Desired:

Flag corps and/or dance experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

Positive human relations skills. Strong skills in detailed and accurate work. Good organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination. This position requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling and talking. Visual acuity, hearing and speaking. Exposure to heat and cold.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

• Organize and direct auditions to recruit flag corps performers and co-captains.
• Write and direct choreography.
• Schedule and direct rehearsals at band camp then daily once school starts.
• Procure equipment as needed within the budget.
• Distribute uniforms and equipment; collect and account for at end of season.
• Supervise flag corps participants at football games, parades, concerts and contests.
• Arrange transportation and assume supervisory responsibility for any approved out-of-town events .
• Collaborate with band director on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.

CLEARANCE

Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Justice Fingerprint/ground Clearance, paid for by the applicant.
