Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Assistant Band Director to help continue the already growing band program. Bushland Falcon Band is a Sweepstakes Band Program with suupportive Administration, Board Members and Parents. Applicants must be energetic, highly qualified, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone committed to the team teaching environment with full autonomy and exemplary student-centered personality.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University Valid Texas Teaching Certificate Must have a CDL or obtain a CDL for the 2026-2027 school year. CPR/AED Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Align Rehearsal Standards, Teaching Styles, Sectionals, Rehearsal Priorities, Ensemble Fundamentals, etc. with Director of Bands and other staff as required. (Work to develop a strong vertical alignment thoughout program) Be active in the planning and instruction of Band activities in accordance with Campus and District expectations, requiring work to be done outside the contract day and instructional calendar dates. Be active in the planning, preparation, and follow through needed to provide students the opportunity to achieve region, area, and state recognition. Good social skills and the ability to function as part of a team are very important, as all aspects of the band program are team taught. The candidate must be organized, detail oriented and possess solid communication skills with students, parents, and administrators.
