Suffolk, VA Job Details Part-time $15,000 - $20,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Choral worship music conducting Vocal music Performing background checks Leadership Full Job Description St. Paul's Episcopal Church, located in the heart of downtown Suffolk, VA, is looking to hire a part-time Director of Music to lead our 9:30 Sunday morning worship service and to utilize our small, but able choir. Organ ability is helpful, but not necessary. Our hymnody is mostly traditional, but we enjoy a variety of styles and expressions of sacred music. We seek to hire a person with the following skills and traits: Possesses a deep spirituality and personal warmth. Competent keyboard/organist. Ability to provide vocal leadership for the service is very helpful. Leads while working under the authority of the Rector. Can plan, organize, coordinate, and communicate in ways which will help our parish thrive. Familiar with Episcopal worship and hymnody and/or willing to learn. Will work with us to grow our music program. Will come to love our parish, its people, choir, traditions, and oddities. Can introduce us to some things we have never tried before, and might possibly come to love. To apply, please email a letter of application, current resume, and three (3) references to The Rev.
