Principal Position Summary:

The Drumline Director is responsible for leading, instructing, and developing the school's drumline program. This role focuses on building students' musical skills, discipline, and teamwork while supporting the overall mission of the band program. The Drumline Director works closely with the Band Director and other staff to ensure a cohesive and high-quality performance experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Background in music education or related field
• Previous experience in drumline, marching band, or percussion instruction
• Strong knowledge of percussion techniques and marching fundamentals
• Ability to teach and motivate students of varying skill levels
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Availability for rehearsals, performances, and occasional weekends/evenings Essential Job Functions
• Plan and lead all drumline rehearsals, sectionals, and performances
• Teach percussion techniques, rhythms, and marching fundamentals
• Develop and implement engaging rehearsal plans to improve individual and group performance
• Coordinate with the Band Director on music selection, drill integration, and overall show design
• Provide individual feedback and mentorship to student musicians
• Assist with auditions, placements, and skill assessments
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory of percussion equipment
• Support performances at football games, competitions, concerts, and special events
• Promote a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Pay:

From $42,500.00 per year
