CATS - Young Actors Edition
Talking Story Theatre Company
A high-energy, professional summer theater experience for young performers ages 8-17.
This summer, performers will step into the world of Cats in a fully staged, professionally designed production - rehearsed and performed in Los Angeles' vibrant arts district.

Character Breakdowns
Gus is an old theatre cat who loves remembering the exciting shows he performed in when he was younger. Even though he is older now and a little shaky, the other cats still admire him and enjoy hearing his stories.
Bombalurina and Demeter are sisters who are almost always together. Bombalurina is bold and confident, while Demeter is gentle and careful, especially around the sneaky Macavity. Even though they are different, they work perfectly as a team and care deeply about each other.
Grizabella is a lonely cat who wishes to be weed back by the Jellicle tribe. She remembers happier times from when she was young and loved by everyone. In the end, her kindness and sadness help the other cats understand her better.
Jellylorum is a caring older cat who likes to keep the younger cats behaving nicely. She helps bring order to the Jellicle tribe and looks after everyone. The other cats trust her because she is responsible and kind.
Jemima is the youngest Jellicle cat and is full of kindness and curiosity. She is friendly to everyone, especially Grizabella, and loves being part of the tribe. Jemima brings joy and hope to the other cats.
Jennyanydots may look sleepy during the day, but at night she bes very busy and helpful. She teaches the mice and cockroaches how to work together and stayanized. She loves making everything neat and cheerful.
Macavity is the sneaky villain of the Jellicle cats who is always causing trouble. He is very clever and good at escaping whenever someone tries to catch him. The other cats are wary of him because of his tricky behavior.
Mr. Mistoffelees is a magical cat who amazes everyone with his exciting tricks and dancing. He may seem shy sometimes, but he bes very confident when he performs. The Jellicle cats love watching his magical shows.
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are playful twins who love causing silly chaos together. They work as a perfect team and are always getting into funny trouble around the neighborhood. Even when they make a mess, they are entertaining and full of energy.
Munkustrap is a brave and dependable cat who helps protect the Jellicle tribe. He looks after the younger kittens and stands up to Macavity when danger appears. The other cats see him as a strong leader they can trust.
Old Deuteronomy is the wise and respected leader of the Jellicle cats. He cares deeply for every member of the tribe and treats everyone with kindness. The cats look up to him because of his wisdom and experience.
Rum Tum Tugger is a lively and mischievous cat who loves being the center of attention. He is playful, energetic, and always keeps the other cats entertained. Even though he can be cheeky, the Jellicles enjoy his fun personality.
Skimbleshanks is a cheerful railway cat who works on the night mail train. He takes great pride in making sure everything runs smoothly and safely. The other cats appreciate his hardworking and caring nature.
Victoria is a graceful white kitten who loves to dance beautifully under the moonlight. She is gentle, kind, and one of the first cats to show kindness to Grizabella. Her elegance and caring heart make her special to the tribe.
The Featured Ensemble Cats each have their own unique personalities and help bring the Jellicle tribe to life. Every ensemble cat adds energy and teamwork to the show.
