Conduct and rehearse our Coro Hispano one evening per week in preparation for our 7:45 am Sunday Mass in Spanish. Conduct a Sunday 7:15 am pre-Mass rehearsal and conduct/play/accompany at the 7:45 am Mass. Teach and develop healthy choral vocal technique and practices. Introduce basic music reading and musical terms. Foster a welcoming and prayerful environment for volunteer singers.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong piano proficiency with ability to conduct from the piano and accompany congregational singing. Formal choral conducting experience, preferably in a church setting. Knowledge and experience of the Roman Catholic Liturgy and role of sacred music. Proficient in Spanish. Familiarity with Spanish language Catholic liturgical music. Coordinate/communicate with Music Director, Clergy, Music Staff, and Volunteers. Understanding of and proper display of ministerial role. Organized, reliable, and respectful of the Roman Catholic Faith and worship. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
