Worship Director

Our church is a Christ‐centered, multi‐generational Baptist congregation passionate about exalting God, equipping believers, and engaging our community. We are seeking a gifted Worship Leader to join our team part‐time and lead our congregation into vibrant, Word‐rooted worship. This role will shape the musical and creative expression of our church, recruit and mentor volunteers, and collaborate with the pastoral staff to ensure services are cohesive and Christ‐honoring. Key Responsibilities Plan weekly worship services: select songs, arrange orders of service, and integrate Scripture and creative elements. Lead congregational singing with joy and excellence; direct band and vocalists during rehearsals and services. Recruit, train, and shepherd musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers. Work with audio/visual setup, stage design, and media; coordinate with volunteers to ensure excellence. Foster a culture of worship that values both spiritual depth and musical quality. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders on themes, sermon series, and special events. Maintain administrative tasks, including licensing, scheduling, budgeting, and equipment maintenance. Desired Qualities A devoted follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates humility, teachability, and a servant heart. Skilled musician (vocally and/or instrumentally) with experience leading worship in a church setting. Ability to connect with a variety of ages and musical preferences, blending hymns and contemporary music. Strong leadership and organizational skills; comfortable managing volunteers and technical resources. Knowledge of music technology, sound systems, and worship software; willingness to learn. Commitment to teamwork and unity; open to feedback and continuous improvement.
