Yorkville Community School District 115 BRIEFDESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY
Skilled pianist to accompany six concert choirs between the hours of 7:30-2:30, M-F. Additional paid evening and weekend responsibilities include concerts throughout the year. Duties include playing student parts and printed accompaniment during rehearsal, assisting with sectionals, and working with individual students and small groups. Compensation will be $18•22 per hour.QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Proficiently accompany in a variety of musical styles Work as a part of a music leadership team Sight read at the piano at a proficient level Play combinations of vocal parts together Assist Director when needed in small and large group rehearsal settings Provide musical feedback to director and students Assist in solo preparation, small group rehearsal Record accompaniments and vocal partsSKILLS:
Ability to manage and inspire high school students with varying levels of experience. Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision. Proven ability to manage a production calendar and meet hard deadlines. Must show evidence of strong leadership and organizational skills.KNOWLEDGE
