Personnel Committee Status:
Part-Time Job Summary Potomac Presbyterian Church is seeking a Part-Time Organist to support our Sunday morning worship service. This is an organ-only position with no directing responsibilities. It is a great opportunity for an organist who may already have a Sunday position with a later service time. Our worship service is at 10:00am, and the organist is typically fi nished by 11:00am. There is no weekday commitment required. The Organist serves as organist on Sunday mornings during the church worship service and for other special services throughout the year. The organist has right of fi rst refusal to play at weddings and funerals. The church owns a Viscount Vero 377 Digital Organ that was custom made in Italy in 2025.
Essential Functions:
1. Plays organ for Sunday 10:00AM church worship service. 2. Collaborates with Director of Music and Accompanist on what to play and when. 3. Plays organ for weddings and funerals.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Enhances Sunday morning worship musically as requested by the Director of Music. 2. Accompanies special musical programs during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter seasons. 3. Adheres to all PPC personnel policies, including policies related to safe church.
Compensation:
$280 per call with the annual salary of $14,000 per year for approximately 50 Sundays.
Pay:
$14,000.00 per year
