Job Summary Join our vibrant faith community as a Church Musician, where your musical talents will inspire worship and foster spiritual connection. In this dynamic role, you will lead worship and assist in coordinating musical elements for services, special events, and community gatherings, creating an uplifting atmosphere that resonates with congregants Your passion for music and dedication to enhancing worship experiences will help cultivate a welcoming environment rooted in faith and fellowship. Responsibilities Lead congregational singing during worship services, ensuring musical harmony and engagement Assist in Arranging and selecting appropriate music pieces that align with liturgical themes and seasonal celebrations Collaborate with clergy and worship teams to help plan musical components for sermons, ceremonies, and special events Play instruments or direct choirs, bands, or soloists to deliver compelling musical performances Maintain and organize musical instruments, sheet music, and sound equipment to ensure readiness for services Foster a welcoming environment by encouraging participation from choir members and congregation members alike Support the development of new musical programs or initiatives that enrich the worship experience Requirements Proven experience as a church musician or in a similar musical leadership role Proficiency in playing one or more instruments (e.g., piano, organ) or conducting choirs/bands Strong understanding of liturgical music traditions across various genres Ability to read sheet music and adapt arrangements as needed Experience with sound equipment operation is a plus Knowledge of theater arts can enhance performance dynamics and audience engagement Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team This role is ideal for passionate musicians eager to serve their community through inspiring worship.
