Full Job Description Love Church North Omaha Position Title:
Piano Player & Music Director (MD) $1000
  • 1500 / per month Part
Time:
10 hours per week approximately
Summary of Position:
Live Keys Performance (Sunday Worship) Serve as the primary keyboardist every Sunday morning, delivering a high-quality, musically excellent performance that supports and enhances the worship experience. This includes arriving early for soundcheck, being fully prepared on all songs for the set, and leading from the keys with confi dence and spiritual presence throughout the service. Ableton Track Production Build and maintain professional-quality backing tracks in Ableton Live throughout the week based on the set-list provided by the Worship Leader. Tracks should be completed and rehearsal-ready before Sunday, ensuring the band has everything they need to execute the service smoothly. This includes stems, click tracks, and any additional production elements needed per song. Music Direction (MD) on Sunday Mornings Serve as the musical authority in the room on Sunday, cueing the band through transitions, adjusting dynamics in real time, and ensuring the music serves the fl ow of the service. This includes communicating clearly with the band during rehearsal and the live set, maintaining tempo integrity, and being the musical bridge between the Worship Leader's vision and the band's execution. Worship Leader Communication & Collaboration Maintain consistent, proactive communication with the Worship Leader throughout the week regarding the upcoming set-list, song arrangements, key selections, and any special musical needs for the service. This person does not build the set-list but is responsible for fully understanding and executing the Worship Leader's vision with excellence. Band Development & Musician Relationships Invest in the growth and cohesion of the worship band by building genuine relationships with each musician. This includes off ering musical guidance, encouraging skill development, and fostering a team culture of excellence and unity. This person serves as a pastoral-musical presence for the band — not managing schedules, but championing the musicians and helping the team grow together. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by your Department Head as required from time to time.

GENERAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 1.
Leadership Duties a. Live a lifestyle in accordance with biblical standards as befitting the position of director at Love Church. b. Provide spiritual leadership and authority commensurate with the responsibilities and parameters of your position. c. Teach Christian discipleship through instruction, leadership, and example. d. Endorse and encourage faithfulness towards the practices of the Christian faith and the culture of Love Church. 2. General Responsibilities You, the leader must: a. Devote the whole of your time, attention, and skill as reasonably necessary to your duties. b. Faithfully and diligently perform your duties. c. Use your best endeavors to promote and enhance the interests, welfare, business, growth, and reputation of Love Church. d. At all times act to a high standard of professional behavior. e. Not act, or be seen to be acting, in conflict with the best interests of Love Church. 3. Character and Personal Qualifications Being a Leader at Love Church, the following are necessary: A. Relationship & commitment to Jesus Christ. B. Total commitment to Love Church and its vision. C. Total commitment and loyalty to the leadership of Love Church, and ability to work in a team environment. D. Spiritual maturity consisting of a pleasant, forgiving, non-judgmental, but assertive manner. E. Initiative. F. Confidentiality. G. Ability to work under pressure and remain calm. H. Ability to meet deadlines (may involve working outside normal hours). I. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team, members of congregation and general public.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to produce tracks in Ableton 2. Effective time management skills 3. Communication skills 4. Teachability | Flexibility 5. Attend Love as full time member (not just an employee) 6. Present every Sunday Encounter (absences coordinated well in advance)
