Part-Time Organist/Pianist

Part-Time Organist/Pianist Wanted We are seeking a gifted and dependable Organist/Pianist to support worship services and special events at our church. This individual will play an important role in helping lead meaningful worship through music while working alongside pastors, choir members, and other musicians. Responsibilities Provide piano and/or organ music for Sunday worship services Prepare preludes and postludes for weekly services and special services throughout the year (Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Ash Wednesday, etc.) Accompany the choir during rehearsals and worship services Accompany guest musicians and vocalists as needed Select hymns and worship music in coordination with church leadership Enter music selections into the church planning system Provide music for weddings and funerals as requested Assist with basic music ministry coordination and preparation Additional Duties Coordinate regular piano tuning and organ maintenance Prepare and print hymn lyrics/materials as needed Help support seasonal and special worship services Set up for guest musicians when necessary Qualifications Proficiency in piano and/or organ performance Ability to accompany choirs and congregational singing Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers Previous church music experience preferred Schedule Part-time position primarily involving: Sunday morning services Choir rehearsals Seasonal/special services throughout the year To Apply Please send: A brief introduction/resume Relevant musical experience Any recordings or references (if available) to: Pastor Dan Glover at dan@tippcitygmc.org
