This individual will play a vital role in enhancing the musical life of our congregation through thoughtful, high-quality accompaniment and collaboration with choir members and church leadership. Applicants need not be a member of the church.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide musical accompaniment on organ and/or piano for Sunday worship services Participate in weekly choir rehearsals (typically one hour Thursday evening and one hour on Sunday prior to worship service) Collaborate with clergy and music leadership to prepare appropriate music Be available for additional services or special events (e.g., holidays, weddings, funerals) as arranged

Typical Sunday Service Music Includes:

Instrumental prelude and postlude Two congregational hymns Introit with choir Special anthem with choir

Schedule:

Sundays:

Choir rehearsal one hour prior to service; worship service typically 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Weekly choir rehearsal: One evening per week (typically Thursdays)

Note:

Summer worship schedule is 10:00-11:00 with limited choir participation

Qualifications:
