Music is central to our worship and community life, and we are seeking a part-time Music Coordinator to help sustain a vibrant and welcoming music ministry. Role Summary The Music Coordinator works with the Pastor, Organist, volunteers, and the Worship & Arts Team to support the church's music program. This is primarily a coordination role (scheduling, organizing, and communicating), with occasional opportunities for direct musical leadership. Average of 5 hours per week with flexibility around holidays. Key Responsibilities Coordinate volunteer leaders for Bell Choir, Chancel Choir, and Pick-up/Folk Choir Schedule and organize special music 5-6 times per year + holidays (Easter, Christmas Eve, etc.) Support ensemble rehearsals and preparation as needed Provide occasional musical leadership (piano, organ, or guitar) when ensembles are not available Maintain music library and manage music licensing (CCLI/OneLicense) Communicate weekly with Pastor and submit bulletin info by Wednesday noon Attend monthly Worship & Arts Team meetings Qualifications Proficiency on piano, guitar, or another instrument suitable for worship Strong organizational and communication skills Experience coordinating volunteers or ensembles Experience in church music or worship settings Familiarity with progressive Christian values and inclusive communities Compensation & Benefits $28-$32 per hour (depending on experience) Part-time benefits: up to 2 weeks paid vacation (prorated, with carryover option) + 2 days sick/compassionate leave How to Apply Apply with a resume and short cover letter through Indeed or by emailing: We strongly encourage applications from LGBTQIA and BIPOC musicians , as well as music educators and local music teachers.
