Part-Time Director of Worship

Hope Presbyterian Church at Lake Nona is a small yet vibrant (PCUSA) faith community in Orlando, FL, committed to growing deeper with God and others and reaching wider to serve and share God's love with the world. As followers of Jesus, we hold these values: God before All Kingdom before Congregation People before Property, and Love before Doctrinal Precision Role Description This is a part-time call to enrich our loving, fun, and mission-minded congregation through authentic, Christ-centered worship. Responsibilities include overseeing set-up for and leading blended worship on Sundays in addition to selecting music, preparing and leading weekly rehearsals, and working with volunteers to oversee technology (sound, slides, livestream) -- averaging about 15 hours each week. Commitments include seasonal services and special events. Qualifications A committed Christ-follower who will be part of the Hope family Experience leading others Vocally in an inviting manner Playing a primary instrument (Guitar, Keyboard, Piano, etc.) Proficiency in contemporary worship songs and hymns Commitment to creating inclusive and inspiring worship environments Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the pastor, church staff and volunteers to bring musical excellence

Pay:

$27.00 - $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have experience leading worship in a small church setting? Do you play a primary instrument (guitar, piano, keyboard)?
