We are one of the rare denominational churches who are currently experiencing growth - younger families and new members (in large part due to the contemporary service). We have a stated vision to move forward with a second service and a second campus. This service is part of our vision. Our strategy moving forward is to continue to develop the second service on Sunday morning for families who prefer a more relaxed, contemporary style of music. We are past the testing phase with what is now an established service with committed and supportive participants. We are ready to grow this group beyond the current group of about 50 folks who attend regularly. About This Role The role of this person is to serve as one of the key song leaders for the contemporary service. This person will be a member on paid contract and answer to the Contemporary Worship Director. We rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for the 11:00am service, music is sent out ahead of time - we are now planning 4 to 6 weeks out. This person could serve once or twice a month, or if a fit for our team on most Sundays. This is a low time commitment opportunity on Sunday mornings. Primary Responsibilities 1. Sing on Sunday mornings with the praise team. 2. Sing solos as asked, harmonize or take leads as rehearsed. 3. Learn to respond and access Planning Center for charts and to confirm scheduling commitments (we can train you on Planning Center, can be accessed by phone). Strengths & Skillset 1. Mature follower of Jesus with an authentic love for God and a heart for worship. 2. Good vocal skills to work with both volunteers and accomplished musicians, and to participate in worship when not leading praise. 3. Punctuality is required in consideration of other people's time since we only have the one rehearsal each week. Personal Responsibilities 1. Maintain God-ordained priorities by putting Jesus Christ first, (if applicable your spouse second, your family third), and then the ministry. If applicable, include your family in the life of San Pedro Church. We are currently undergoing five years of steady growth with the hiring of a new Senior Pastor. We have no debt and we are in a solid financial position as a church.
