Organist/Pianist 122 N 5th St, Palmyra, WI 53156 $100 an hour - Part-time $100 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and talented Organist/Pianist to bring inspiring musical excellence to our 10 a.m. Sunday worship services, events, and special occasions. This dynamic role requires a skilled musician capable of delivering soulful organ or piano performances that elevate spiritual experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in musical versatility, an energetic approach to performance, and a dedication to creating an uplifting atmosphere for diverse audiences. Paid position with opportunities to showcase musical talent and contribute meaningfully to our community's spiritual life. Duties Perform on the organ or piano during worship services, concerts, and special events, ensuring seamless transitions and engaging musical arrangements Collaborate with clergy, and event organizers to select appropriate repertoire that aligns with the occasion's tone and message Lead or accompany congregational singing, hymns, and other performances with enthusiasm and precision Maintain the instrument(s), including tuning, cleaning, and basic repairs to ensure optimal sound quality Prepare music in advance by practicing pieces thoroughly to deliver confident and polished performances Assist in organizing musical programs for seasonal celebrations, weddings, funerals, and community events Foster a welcoming environment for musicians of all skill levels by providing guidance or mentorship when needed Skills Proven proficiency in playing the organ or piano with technical skill and expressive artistry Strong understanding of musical theory, harmony, rhythm, and sight-reading abilities Experience performing in a variety of musical styles, including sacred music and contemporary arrangements Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clergy, and event coordinators Ability to adapt quickly to different venues and acoustical settings while maintaining high performance standards Energetic attitude with a passion for inspiring others through music Join us as an Organist/Pianist and become an integral part of enriching our community's spiritual journey through powerful musical expression.
