The Hive Theatre Company is seeking a non-union Stage Manager for the fall production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown with performances at The Plaza Theatre at The Boston Center for the Arts November, 5-15, 2026. Job Summary The Hive Theatre Company is seeking a highlyanized and collaborative Stage Manager to join the production team for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the rehearsal process, technical rehearsals, and performances. As a key member of a new and growing theatrepany, the Stage Manager will help establish best practices and foster a supportive, professional rehearsal environment. Key Responsibilities
Attend production meetings
Monitor auditions and callbacks
Record blocking
Send out daily rehearsal call and performance reports to the production team
Communicate effectively with cast members regarding schedule and other important updates
Ensure the rehearsal space is prepared and returned to its original state
Call the show
Be present for all rehearsals, dress rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances
Maintain consistency of performances
Handle emergencies or unexpected issues during performances
Fulfill any additional ongoing requests related to the stage management of the production
Ad to all program policies and safety guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for all participants

Production meetings will be held throughout the summer and as needed during the rehearsal process

Strike:
Evening of November 15 Compensation

Stipend:
Negotiable based on availability and scope of experience
Qualifications:
Previous stage management experience (musical theatre experience preferred).
Stronganizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellentmunication skills and professionalism under pressure.
Comfort with managing schedules
Familiarity with technical theatre processes, including basic sound and lighting cues.
Ability to collaborate with diverse artists and staff in a fast-paced rehearsal process.
