Location:

Dothan, Alabama - a convenient drive to Florida's stunning Gulf Coast beaches

Facility:

Southeast Health, a 420-bed regional trauma center with Level II trauma designation and comprehensive subspecialty services

Patient Volume:

Approx. 60,000 annual emergency department visits, providing a high-acuity, challenging clinical environment

Schedule:

Consistent, equitable 6-7 day block per month, promoting work-life balance

Team:

All ED physicians are residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine, supported by a dedicated fast-track staffed with mid-level providers

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population Manage acute medical and trauma cases with support from a highly equipped hospital system Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, cardiology, surgical services, and hospitalists Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities for residents and advanced practice providers (as applicable)

Qualifications & Certifications:

Residency-trained in Emergency Medicine Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Active Alabama medical license or eligible to obtain one Commitment to delivering compassionate, efficient, and culturally sensitive patient care
