Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Permit Specialist to oversee and manage the permit process for construction and public health projects. In this vital role, you will ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth project approvals, maintain safety standards, and uphold public health policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects by ensuring all permits are accurately obtained, documented, and maintained in accordance with legal and safety guidelines. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit permit applications for construction projects, ensuring adherence to
OSHA, FDA
regulations, and local permitting requirements. Coordinate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate timely permit approvals. Maintain comprehensive records of all permits issued, renewed, or modified; ensure documentation complies with regulatory reporting standards. Conduct regular compliance audits to verify ongoing adherence to safety and health regulations throughout project execution. Monitor changes in regulatory policies related to public health and construction permits; update internal procedures accordingly. Write detailed reports on permit status, compliance issues, and corrective actions; communicate findings clearly to management. Assist in training staff on permit requirements, safety protocols, and regulatory updates to promote a culture of compliance management. Qualifications Proven experience with OSHA standards, construction regulations, and FDA compliance processes. Strong knowledge of public health policies related to construction sites and manufacturing environments. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to prepare detailed documentation for regulatory reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple permits simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Familiarity with compliance management tools and software used for tracking permits and regulatory documentation. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting tasks. Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate requirements effectively across teams.
