Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through personalized care, attentive monitoring, and compassionate support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism. Prior experience in patient care and familiarity with healthcare protocols are highly valued. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress through accurate record-keeping Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety during transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and support overall patient well-being Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition by following established protocols such as CPR or first aid procedures Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement Familiarity with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities care strategies Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents Strong communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams CPR/First Aid certification required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are advantageous Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Compassionate attitude with patience for working with vulnerable populations across diverse age groups Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to individual needs This position provides an enriching opportunity for caregivers passionate about providing empathetic support while developing their skills within a supportive environment dedicated to quality patient care.
