Personal Banker

This position's primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service. Customer service is of utmost importance in this role, and the position requires knowledge of a range of bank operations to answer customer questions and requests, as well as to identify cross-sell opportunities to achieve bank growth objectives. This role will be required to perform a variety of professional banking services in our Retail Banking Operations accurately and efficiently, while adhering to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Provides exemplary customer service when meeting customers' various banking needs, such as receiving and posting deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, and issuing savings withdrawals. Identifies and handles customer issues through taking initiative and problem-solving. Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential. Opens all types of deposit accounts including savings, checking, money market, and CDs; generates all paperwork, collects required documentation, and performs legally required verifications. Effectively and professionally communicates with all internal and external customers. Answers the telephone, assists the customer, and redirects calls. Balances and reconciles their teller drawer; counts and packages currency and coins. Creates and/or verifies incoming and outgoing wire transfers. Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers' needs, and directing customers to other branch representatives. College diploma preferred, High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Previous experience in customer service or retail sales preferred Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately Available to work 100% at the Bison State Bank Branch located in Bison, KS Customer service first mentality Strong verbal and written communication Attention to detail Takes initiative and is proactive in work Enjoys working as a team / demonstrates a commitment to teamwork Sales Experience (optional) Knowledge of financial software (optional) ACH and Treasury Experience preferred but not required Join our team as a Personal Banker and enjoy the benefits of working in a supportive environment where you can grow your career in the banking industry.
