Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide essential care services that promote independence, safety, and comfort for residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. We offer on the job training so no prior experience required. There is a pay incentive for those who have their Nursing Assistance license and prior experience. We also offer opportunities for paid education frequently at our facility to support our staffs ever growing knowledge of caring for the elderly population. Hours Days 1: 6:00am-2:30pm Days 2: 5:30am-2:00pm Afternoons 1: 2:30pm-11:00pm Afternoons 2: 2:00pm-9:00pm Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor residents health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any concerns promptly. Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to aid mobility and prevent injury. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning patient areas, laundry, and sanitation tasks. Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Support hospice or palliative care services by providing compassionate assistance aligned with patient wishes. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures during emergencies or incidents. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or memory care is desirable. Ability to perform lifting of up to 50lbs safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate attitude combined with patience and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed.
