Personal care Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This vital role involves working closely with clients to promote their independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home environments, or community-based programs. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering respectful, patient-centered care that enhances quality of life. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely move residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of client spaces Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Skills Proven experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention Certified in First Aid and CPR; experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care or hospice care is highly valued Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Ability to assist with medication administration and vital signs monitoring following prescribed protocols Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience in meal preparation aligned with dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines Compassionate attitude combined with patience and respect for diverse needs and backgrounds Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
