This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while delivering personalized care with empathy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. All positions are paid roles that offer meaningful opportunities to make a positive impact on people's lives. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior, documenting findings accurately while respecting HIPAA privacy standards. Support medication administration under supervision or as trained, ensuring proper dosage and timing according to care plans. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, assist with feeding when necessary, and maintain cleanliness in the client's living space. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges or disabilities. Conduct patient observation to identify potential issues early and communicate concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members. Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare teams, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in regular training on CPR, first aid, infection control, and other safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for clients and staff. Qualifications Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia/cognitive impairment courses are advantageous. Strong ability to work with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities or memory-related conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring is essential for providing safe care. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts is necessary. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents' families, and other caregivers. Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving ensures a positive experience for clients. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or hospice care settings is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Join us in making a difference every day! We're dedicated to supporting your growth as a caregiver while providing top-quality service that enriches lives through compassionate personal support.
