Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. In this role, you will empower clients to maintain independence, improve their quality of life, and receive personalized assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to assist with patient transfers safely Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and company policies Skills Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently in emergency situations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs; ability to work flexible hours as required Join us in providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
