Personal Care Assistant / Night Shift

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) working the night shift! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to residents in a supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. Your energy and attentiveness will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any concerns promptly Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and positioning Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of resident areas Document resident interactions, behaviors, and care activities thoroughly to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid certification is essential Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation practices is beneficial Ability to handle behavioral management techniques for residents with dementia or memory impairments Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward residents' needs Valid driver's license preferred for driving residents or supplies when necessary Join us in providing exceptional night-time care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
