Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. In this vital role, you will help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life by delivering personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with safe resident transfers and mobility Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care experience are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and patience Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are beneficial for home care roles Join us in providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
