Job Description
Plans, coordinates, supervises, and carries out the activities of the nuclear medicine, PET/CT area. Work is carried out in an independent, professional manner with minimal supervision. Effect Of ErrorProbable errors not easily detected and may adversely affect external as well as internal relationships and may result in major expenditures for equipment, materials, or procedures detrimental to the patient's welfare or the organization's interest. Work is subject to general review only and requires considerable accuracy and responsibility. Continually works with reports, records, plans, and programs of a major functional area of the organization where integrity is required to safeguard the organization's position. Duties may involve the preparation of data on which the administration bases important decisions and are highly confidential.

- Healthcare (CPR)
- AART or NMTCB Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiological Technology/Nuclear Medicine program.
- Must be proficient in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Must be Registered Technologist.
- Will accept ARRT, or NMTCB, or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine).Area of Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient's needs.
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures.
- Responsible for CQI related duties.
- Responsible for maintenance of proper patient records.
- Responsible for ongoing continuing education to maintain registry.
- And performs other related duties.
- Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of the patient and population served.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development.
- Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients (age and diagnosis).
- Responsible for nuclear medicine maintenance on equipment including proper records.
- Responsible for QA/QC programs.

- ACLS Certification
- Healthcare Provider (CPR)
- Radiologic TechnologistSupervision
- Occasionally assigns duties to transporters.
- ACLS-If ACLS certification is not possessed at time of hire, employee must obtain ACLS Certification within nine months of hire date.
