Facility Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Pharmacy Administration Job Family Professional Work Shift Variable (United States of America) Summary The PGY2 Pharmacy Resident will build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of inpatient internal medicine services and other applicable learning experiences. The PGY2 Pharmacy Resident will practice as a clinical pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions.1 year of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. Eligible to take the NC Pharmacy Licensing examination upon start of employment. Licensed as a pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP) by September 1 of residency year. Good communication skills, both oral and written; interpersonal skills that promote cooperative peer behavior; knowledge of drugs and how they act and interact; knowledge of pharmacy laws (state and national).Visual acuity to review prescriptions, medication labels, and reports. Manual dexterity to use computer Speaking and hearing to converse with co-workers, physicians and patients.
