  • $115k salary DOE $5k sign on Bonus available Seeking a Pharmacist who will work in a hospital setting. Day Shift
  • Full Time Mon-Fri with rotating Saturdays Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy Active Pharmacist license in the State of Michigan Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred, though candidates with strong foundational knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply Prepare and compound intravenous medications using established formulas and sterile processes Serve as a resource to healthcare staff and patients by answering medication-related questions and providing guidance Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Maintain strict patient and organizational confidentiality at all times Willing to train if Active Pharmacist License in the State of Michigan Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional medication management and patient care.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling patients on their prescriptions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Your expertise will ensure safe medication use, support patient recovery, and enhance overall health outcomes within a dynamic hospital environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your clinical knowledge and passion for patient service in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all safety protocols and legal requirements Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs Monitor patient responses to medications, especially in critical care settings such as
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers Manage IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile medication preparation in compliance with hospital standards Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate pharmacotherapy, considering physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical history Support acute pain management initiatives and participate in emergency room interventions when necessary Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction Extensive hospital experience, including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center settings preferred Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on hospital medicine, critical care, or emergency room environments Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols Experience with managed care systems and post-residency training or pharmacy residency programs highly desirable Proven ability to perform patient service tasks such as medication reconciliation and patient education Skills in acute care management, including ICU experience and acute pain management strategies Familiarity with pediatric pharmacotherapy (Pediatrics) and IV infusion techniques Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration Join us to make a meaningful difference by ensuring safe medication practices while delivering compassionate patient care.
