Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility specializing in behavioral health in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy services on a temporary basis. This role is essential to support continuous patient care until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The assignment begins on May 18th and requires weekend availability.

Inpatient Behavioral Health Schedule and Hours:

Saturday and Sunday 6 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and safely within the behavioral health setting Repackage medications utilizing Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems Manage automated drug dispensing machines, including loading medications and running restock reports Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper pharmaceutical care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current Iowa Pharmacist license Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred Familiarity with repackaging medication using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL Basic skills in operating automated medication machines and restocking processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety This is a contract opportunity ideal for pharmacists with behavioral health experience who are looking to make an immediate impact in inpatient care.
