Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role supports essential inpatient pharmacy distribution functions in a dynamic hospital setting. The pharmacist will play a critical part in ensuring medication safety and accuracy while collaborating with clinical staff.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable days and afternoons 8-hour shiftsKey Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately using Epic systems Perform final product verification checks for medications Provide clinical support by answering drug information and clinical questions Oversee pharmacy technician activities to maintain workflow and safety Participate in Code Blue/emergency response teams as needed Utilize IT systems including Epic and Pyxis for pharmacy operationsDesired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy Proficient in Epic electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide drug information support Ability to manage and supervise pharmacy technicians effectively Comfortable working variable shifts covering days and afternoons Emergency response experience or training preferredLocation:
Everett, WA (with the opportunity in the Seattle area) This contract opportunity begins immediately and is expected to last 16 weeks or longer, with potential for Temp-to-Hire based on performance.
