Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A leading 400-bed teaching hospital in North Texas seeks an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis, with potential for temp-to-hire or permanent placement. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment where clinical expertise is highly valued, supporting complex patient care in a hospital setting.
Location:
Wichita Falls, TX Type:
Contract (13 weeks) with strong temp-to-hire potential
Schedule:
Variable days/afternoons; possibilities include a 7-on, 7-off rotation
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and consultation for healthcare teams Participate in patient rounds alongside medical staff to ensure optimal pharmacologic care Monitor patient responses, adjust treatments as necessary, and ensure compliance with hospital protocols Educate staff and patients on safe and effective medication use Contribute to the hospital's teaching mission by mentoring pharmacy students and residents, as applicable Qualified candidates will have: Active Texas pharmacist license Completion of a pharmacy residency program (PGY-1 or higher preferred) Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities Adaptability to variable scheduling and dynamic clinical environments This is an excellent career opportunity for pharmacists seeking to apply residency training within a teaching hospital context while maintaining clinical sharpness.
