Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting in Alaska. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience working with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification, with Cerner experience highly preferred.
Schedule and Hours:
8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM Variable days of the week, including weekends Holiday shifts as needed, typically 4-5 hours Shifts are scheduled to avoid an 11:00 AM shift immediately preceding a 7:00 AM shift
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Alaska pharmacist license or ability to obtain a temporary Alaska license If not currently licensed in Alaska, candidates must apply for licensure within 24 hours of job acceptance At least 1 year of pharmacist experience in a hospital pharmacy environment Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including order processing and product verification Cerner pharmacy system experience is preferred but not mandatory
Location and Housing:
Located in North Pole, AK Free one-bedroom housing provided (pet units are not available) Responsibilities include accurately dispensing medications, verifying orders, collaborating with healthcare staff, and maintaining compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols. Candidates must be adaptable to variable scheduling and holiday coverage. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your pharmacy skills while experiencing life in Alaska. The start date is flexible, with options available beginning ASAP, June 7, or June 22.
