Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Support patient care as a Pharmacist at a 120-bed community hospital serving the Kerrville area. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting where your expertise in medication management and patient safety will directly impact positive outcomes.
Location:
Helotes, TX (with assignment at the Kerrville hospital)
Schedule & Hours:
Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM Coverage required every 4th weekend Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) Flexibility in scheduling highly preferred
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within the hospital pharmacy Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacologic therapies Utilize Meditech electronic health records and MedKeeper for IV medication management Manage inventory with Omnicell automated systems Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist license Hospital pharmacy experience is essential Comfortable working with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Adaptability to changing shift schedules This contract opportunity offers a chance to contribute in a community-focused environment with a progressive healthcare team.
