Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care at a rural healthcare facility in Berlin, NH. This role supports multiple patient care areas including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg, and the Emergency Department. The position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with rotating weekends to ensure continuous pharmacy coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage medication dispensing and order verification in an inpatient setting Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy, including critical care and emergency services Utilize clinical judgment to work independently, especially during weekend shifts Support pharmacy operations using Meditech; familiarity with Omnicell systems is beneficial Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety
Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of experience as a pharmacist with prior hospital exposure required Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting is highly preferred Ability to work autonomously, specifically on weekends Proficient with Meditech pharmacy software; knowledge of Omnicell preferred Residency or permanent address must be located 50+ miles from the facility (no local candidates)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Rotating weekends approximately every third weekend, Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to apply specialized clinical skills in a rural hospital environment while supporting a diverse patient population.
