Responsibilities:

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards Verify accurate filling of MedBoxes Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on individualized treatment plans Perform medication reconciliation to ensure complete and accurate medication histories Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications Supervise pharmacy technicians, guiding prescription filling, inventory management, and operational workflows Maintain precise patient records and documentation Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Licensed pharmacist with current registration in the state of Florida Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting, preferably with exposure to Indian Health Clinic protocols Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and drug safety principles Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills
