Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract This contract opportunity offers a unique role as an Interim Staff Pharmacist stepping into the position of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a specialized micro-hospital facility. Serving a 10-bed emergency department and a 10-bed inpatient unit within a highly focused clinical setting, you will have full operational responsibility for the hospital pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the sole pharmacist and Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations Conduct audits, manage inventory, and ensure restocking efficiency Cover Monday through Friday day shifts with on-call duties (minimal likelihood of call-ins) Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and ongoing support Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for pharmacy automation
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license (required) Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, ideally in a hospital or micro-hospital environment Strong ability to independently manage pharmacy operations without on-site technician support Familiarity with Cerner order entry system and Omnicell automation is preferred

West Grove, Pennsylvania, on-site at a 10 licensed bed micro-hospital facility
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shifts On-call coverage with minimal likelihood of active call-ins This position provides a rare chance to lead pharmacy operations independently in a small but critical hospital setting, supporting community health with direct impact. The contract runs from mid-May through the end of June, with potential for extension based on evolving needs.
