Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity seeks a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to lead and oversee the full spectrum of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations at a reputable 503A compounding pharmacy. The role demands an experienced leader committed to upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the legally designated PIC across all non-resident state pharmacy licenses. Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and relevant regulatory bodies. Ensure all operational changes, ownership modifications, and facility updates are properly reported. Provide oversight of sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, maintaining compliance with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards. Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff. Manage creation, execution, review, and approval of daily batch records. Support production scheduling to meet delivery timelines, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize capacity.Qualifications and Experience:
Active PA Pharmacist License. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager. In-depth knowledge of USP , , standards and relevant state/federal regulations governing 503A pharmacies. Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections. Strong leadership and communication skills.Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Flexible availability on Saturdays if needed.
