Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A behavioral health facility in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Pharmacist to provide critical support on a temporary basis. This inpatient role involves working weekends with a focus on behavioral health pharmacy services. The assignment begins May 18 and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired.
Responsibilities:
Dispense and prepare medications accurately following established safety protocols Repackage medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems as needed Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and run restock reports to maintain inventory Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective medication management within behavioral health Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Active Iowa Pharmacist License required Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing preferred Familiarity with repackaging systems (Milt/Medi-dose or HCL) Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy and medication distribution procedures Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on weekends
Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday, approximately 6 hours per day
