Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support a healthcare facility in Norwalk, CA. The initial assignment is full-time for approximately one month, transitioning to a part-time, PRN schedule thereafter. This role is ideal for a local candidate experienced in inpatient pharmacy operations and seeking flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

Perform IV compounding with strict adherence to safety protocols Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems Support daily pharmacy operations within a licensed 117-bed facility averaging 44 inpatients Rotate shifts with other technicians covering hours between 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, 12:00 PM-8:30 PM, and weekend shifts from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Utilize Paragon/Allscripts order entry system efficiently to process medication orders

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid California pharmacy technician license required Proven experience with IV compounding and managing Pyxis systems Comfortable working in a dynamic inpatient environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail Familiarity with Paragon or Allscripts order entry software is preferred Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
