Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available at an Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This one-year contract position offers a potential extension or transition to a direct hire role. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, totaling 20 hours per week. Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, performing chart reviews, verifying and filling prescriptions when technician support is not available, and completing internal reports and forms using Excel. You will ensure that all activities comply with state and federal regulations. This role requires working independently at times, with limited patient interaction unless requested. There are no billing or insurance duties involved.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel This position is ideal for a pharmacist comfortable managing pharmacy operations independently and contributing to opioid treatment efforts in a focused clinical setting.
