This position involves working with a specialty retail pharmacy that serves complex patients managing multiple medications daily. The right candidate will have strong communication skills, patience, and a solid understanding of the top 200-400 drugs commonly found in a retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities include:

Accurately dispensing medications to patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, MS, and RA Providing compassionate, clear communication to a patient population that primarily includes Medicare/Medicaid recipients and low-income individuals with potentially low literacy Utilizing pharmacy software, preferably Rx30, to manage prescriptions and patient profiles Supporting pharmacists in maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Experience in retail and specialty pharmacy settings, especially working with patients with advanced chronic illnesses Strong knowledge of commonly prescribed medications and pharmacy operations Proficiency with Rx30 software preferred Ohio pharmacy technician license required; PTCB certification highly preferred but not mandatory Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to a diverse and medically complex patient population

Location and Schedule:

Elyria, Ohio Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM This role offers a 13-week contract with potential to convert to a permanent position. Start date is immediate.
