Description Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Post-Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency Program Grants Pass, Oregon Asante's PGY1 Residency Program provides broad experiences including pharmacokinetics, antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation, cardiology, oncology, internal medicine, critical care, pediatrics/NICU, infusion services, diabetes education, nutrition support, practice management, medication safety, informatics, and rural hospital. Residents have the opportunity to teach at the university level while earning a teaching certificate. All Residents act as preceptors for pharmacy students, participate in P&T committee, write for the pharmacy bulletin, present continuing education to pharmacy professionals, and participate in community service. Residents complete a major project, present a poster at Midyear, and present at the Northwestern States Conference. Acceptance:

PhORCAS application including: Letter of intent; Individual Assessment for Residency Training; Pharmacy education official transcripts; Three references, may use the standard PhORCAS format, an additional letter is optional. The Individual Assessment for Residency Training is to be uploaded into PhORCAS as supplemental material. Applicants must have a PharmD, or equivalent experience. Our program will be participating in PhORCAS.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Residency applicants must possess or be receiving a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm D) and be licensed as a Pharmacist Intern in the state of Oregon before the start of the program. Certifications Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required for Pharmacy Residents.
