Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A community pharmacy in Eastern Colorado is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality in medication management.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Day shift 8 hours per day
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pharmaceutical care tailored to a diverse patient population. Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and billing clerks. Monitor patient profiles in the computer system, ensuring accuracy with drug allergies, interactions, duplicate therapies, and rational drug therapy. Uphold pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain retail pharmacy standards. Maintain quality control, secure controlled substances, and oversee the proper disposal of hazardous waste. Engage in programs and meetings such as the 340B program, antibiotic stewardship initiatives, pharmacy and therapeutics meetings. Stay informed about industry developments through continuing education, conferences, professional journals, and societies.
Qualifications:
Active, clear Colorado pharmacist license with no negative history. Strong leadership and communication skills to supervise staff effectively. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy laws, procedures, and quality assurance.
