Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established 500-bed hospital in York, PA, is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This contract opportunity offers an engaging work environment where your expertise will directly impact patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The position requires an ASAP start and includes a 13-week assignment with variable days and afternoon shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate order verification to ensure safe medication dispensing Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow Consult with physicians to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes Apply pharmacokinetic principles for individualized patient dosing Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is mandatory Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy practice Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is beneficial Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
