Position Highlights:
$•$•/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidatesAdditional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours workedWhat You'll Do:
Assist patients at the pharmacy counter by delivering prescriptions, collecting payments, and coordinating pharmacist counseling as neededEnter and verify patient, prescription, and billing information accurately in pharmacy systemsAnswer phones, respond to non•clinical inquiries, and route calls appropriatelyProcess prescription refills and assist with third•party billing and prior authorizations as allowed by state regulationsSupport inventory management by restocking medications, checking expiration dates, and verifying incoming ordersMaintain pharmacy documentation and workflows in compliance with YVFWC, HRSA, and regulatory standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDOne year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care or customer service experiencePharmacy Assistant state registration required within 60 days of hire (or active Pharmacy Intern License)Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast•paced environmentEffective communication and customer service skillsBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft OfficeBasic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy workflowsExperience using pharmacy software systemsDrug testing:This position requires testing for controlled substances before employment and will be subject to further testing throughout employment.
